PADEL AT SLT&SC
Padel has arrived at Stourbridge Lawn Tennis & Squash Club, and it is already bringing a new energy to the club.
Fast, social and brilliantly engaging, padel has become one of the world’s fastest growing sport. With the introduction of our two new panoramic courts, members and visitors can now experience the game in a setting that combines premium facilities with the welcoming atmosphere SLT&SC is known for.
Blending elements of tennis and squash, padel is easy to learn yet endlessly rewarding to play. The enclosed court and surrounding glass walls create longer rallies, fast paced exchanges and an exciting style of play that appeals to all ages and abilities.
At SLT&SC, we see padel as more than simply another racket sport. Padel is a natural addition to the vibrant sporting community already established across our tennis, squash and racketball sections. Whether you are an experienced player or completely new to racket sports, padel offers a fantastic way to play, compete and connect with others within the club.
Mix In
One of the defining features of padel is its social nature.Usually played as doubles, the game creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere both on and off court, making it easy for players to mix in, meet new people and enjoy competitive but friendly games.Padel Mix-In sessions take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 12pm and are open to players of all standards looking to enjoy social games in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Booking a Court
Our two floodlit panoramic courts provide a premium playing environment and are available for both members and pay and play bookings.Courts can be booked online through the club booking system, making it simple to arrange social games, practice sessions or matches throughout the week.Players also have access to the wider club facilities, including the clubhouse, bar, changing rooms and social spaces, allowing members and visitors to enjoy the full club experience on and off court.
Tournaments and Teams
As padel develops, SLT&SC looks forward to introducing club tournaments, friendly fixtures and team-based competition.
These events will provide opportunities for players to enjoy competitive match play, represent the club and continue building the strong community spirit that already exists across the racket sports.

Coaching sessions and development opportunities will also be available for players looking to improve their game, from beginners learning the fundamentals through to more experienced players refining tactics and match play.

Leagues
Internal padel leagues will be commencing shortly.
The leagues will provide members with the opportunity to enjoy regular organised matches, meet new playing partners and become part of the growing competitive padel community at SLT&SC.
