Jon also a highly qualified Personal Trainer:-

I will provide a service driven to your needs, however simple or complex.

Being born with a heart condition never dampened my passion for fitness. As a very active child I began to reap the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and when offered surgery at 18 years old, I was able to achieve my ambition to join the Armed Forces.  Over the 10 year period I was in the army I became a Physical Training Instructor and was stationed around the world including periods of active duty. When leaving the army in 2002 I realised which direction my career would take.

The Army’s Physical Training Qualifications were enhanced at Premier Training International in 2003 which enabled me to create my own Personal Training business. Since qualifying, I have helped hundreds of individuals achieve their personal targets, which range from core conditioning and fitness levels to more specific goals such as extreme weight loss or exceptional sporting challenges.

Completing my Sports Injury Therapists Training has allowed me to help clients return to full functionality regardless of age, sport or ability after injury. People who have benefited from my skills include professional and amateur sports people, those who keep fit for fun and accident victims. As a qualified sports therapist I advise on prevention of potential injuries in relation to specific sporting activities. Where actual injury has occurred, I will examine, assess, treat and provide support during rehabilitation.

I believe that being fit, healthy and making the right food choices leads to living longer, living better youthful lives.

Karen Adams
PT

I have always been interested in fitness and wellbeing and believe I have a special gift to be able to motivate, drive and inspire clients to achieve their goals.

When my father passed away I decided to spend my life helping people address their lifestyle to become fit and healthy. This passion has never left me. He spent his life building a business that he loved and that is what has driven the development and success of Personal Magic.

After passing the RSA Exercise to Music in 1990, I began teaching studio based classes. It was then I discovered I had the skills to choreograph and inspire excitement in studio based fitness. Taking every professional workshop and fitness convention going to advance my knowledge, resulted in class numbers increasing simply by word of mouth. I taught in the studio for 22 years and loved every minute.

In May 1999 I qualified with a Diploma from Premier Training International to become a Personal Trainer and Health Professional. In the subsequent years I have built a successful Personal Training business with my, living longer, living better approach to client’s wellbeing.

I have clients who want to lose weight and they require support to maintain their motivation. There are those who wish to improve their fitness level and people who require personal training for the rehabilitation from cancer or injury.

Now specializing in postural correction and rehabilitation, along with teaching several levels of studio based Pilates classes, I plan to continue my professional education with innovative courses to increase still further the scope for improving the lives of my clients.

I have two grown up children who I am very proud of  and in my spare time I enjoy Hill Walking, Running, Gym work and my own Pilates Training.

Further Qualifications:

Level 1-3 Modern Pilates Qualifications                2006-2008

Specialist Pilates for the Hip and Knee                 2010

Advanced Back Care and Spine Diagnostic         2010-2012

Shoulder Assessment and Stability                      2012

Lola Chater
Fitness Instructor/Administrator

I have been involved with Stourbridge Lawn Tennis and Squash Club for 8 years, initially as a member and now working both in the office on a Monday and running fitness classes in the gym and on the squash court.

I am passionate about making fitness accessible and fun for all and have recently run a well received induction course for new members to the gym.

I am a qualified REPs recognised Level 2 Fitness Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer.

My classes offer an all round workout for members of all ages and abilities.  My Tuesday class is available to all members (including rackets members at an extra charge of £2) and is a Body Conditioning class on Court 6.  This class is aimed at increasing strength, endurance, balance, agility and co-ordination.  I also run a 50/50 Circuits class (50% cardio/50% resistance) on a Monday evening and Thursday morning in the gym for gym members.

I am here to help with those healthy intentions to achieving your goals and enhancing your life in a positive way.

Please feel free to come and have a chat with me for information on my classes and your fitness queries.
